Varangian Lived the dreams in my heart Dreamed my whole life Stories sung in the dark valleys of our kind Under the moon Under the stars I’ve come so far But this road will never bring me down Lived the dreams in his heart Saw new moons and new stars Made his peace in new parts Halvdan

Samurai Sword Maker I must wait for this dream to flow I must wait for these tears to slow But the sun of my summer is low Bye Bye home I must wait for this spirit to grow I must wait for this fear to go But the pain of letting you know Bye bye home I must stand in my myth and my style I must hope that I’ll do just fine Cut the trance from my glorious stride Bye bye home And I feel that it’s alright tonight And I feel that I’ve learned to fly Like a bird in a summer sky

So Young * 03:08
So Young Your light will fade just like the songs That we were learning so young That we were singing so young So young I’ll linger and wait for your sing-song I’ll stand before you so young How could you be so strong? So strong I’m all by myself My time has come and gone But I know this very well You’re next, you’re next You’re next Coz you can’t help yourself You can’t help yourself
4.
(I’m So) Glad There used to be your light There used to be your grace In a different kind of place Glad, so glad, I’m so glad There used to be pennies on my eyes I know that they took away the shine From the thought at the top of my soul All the way from the love of a gift To the gold, to the selling of my soul I love my time alone Never dreamed I’d find you Never dreamed I’d find a home that I love I’m so glad
5.
Taking It Slow A shadow falls across My plains of rolling dreams Oh I see you know what I mean So I walk across meadows Where life is breaking free Can you see what I need? I can rest my feet In this gently flowing stream Coz I’m taking it slow home I’ll take my leave To the softly rustling leaves Yeah I’m taking it slow I’m taking it slow, home Breaking free

Stricken Vampires Down the long road we go Young and unrefined Wrapped up in our own vices Virtues left behind Greed for more of delights More than for sleeping Since both our souls are long dead Better to enjoy our sins now Starlight is our light Wandering deep in dark woods Left in their mournful light Lakes keep their faces secret Streams pass in silent slight Evening stars are calling Our drowsy poppies Trees in dim light seem old Gracefully sleeping And their dreams in their light sleeping Are strong and bold and shining loud Starlight is our light

The Gate 03:48
The Gate I can see you all there Waving from that wicked place You’re laughing So now I know it’s too late Now I know it’s too late Now you’ve gone and closed the gate Now you’ve gone and closed the gate Floating here in space In this dirty place I’m holding on But now I know it’s too late Now I know it’s too late You waved goodbye and closed the gate You waved goodbye and closed the gate You waved goodbye I’m alone I’m alone

Thanks to all of the above and to many others along the (figurative) road!!! Currently there are no hard copies but vinyl is planned and this is where I might do a more detailed list of appreciation.

The album is in all the major online stores and streaming platforms including iTunes and Spotify.

This took way too long to make, but that's the way, as they say. I had/ have no gigging band so no pressure to finish except that it should be as good as I could make it, for myself primarily. Call this my mid-life purchase of a really fast car, the one I never succeeded getting when I was younger and when the world was very different.
